ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST-REGISTRAR I

Madera Community Hospital - Madera, CA

Greets and welcomes patients to Madera Community Hospital. Interviews patients upon admission, accurately records necessary patient demographics and financial information, secures required signatures, prepares and supplies patient data to various hospital departments. Audits all Patient Accounts to assure information is up to date. Works closely with Nursing staff, Physicians, and other Medical Professionals. Must have at least one year admitting experience in Acute Care setting and completed Medical Terminology course. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Meditech system experience and typing 40 WPM preferred. Must be available to work Holidays, weekends, and various shifts. Prefer previous hospital admissions experience. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. American Heart Association BLS certification required. Shift: Day, Afternoon, Night, Weekends, Holidays.
